Bed & Biking, an ecolodge between Bayeux and Arromanches, is situated in an unspoilt setting in the heart of the Normandy countryside.

It is a comfortable base, ideal for travellers seeking nature, tranquillity and outdoor activities, whilst remaining close to Normandy’s must-see attractions – we are, in fact, less than 10 minutes from Bayeux and Arromanches.

The accommodation features a spacious and comfortable bedroom, a modern bathroom and an outdoor kitchen set on a second terrace – a cosy space for cooking, dining al fresco and making the most of the garden.

As well as the family-friendly, idyllic atmosphere of a village with 300 residents, you’ll enjoy lovely views of the property and the neighbouring fields; depending on the season, you may even spot a few peaceful Normandy cows.

Bed & Biking certainly lives up to its name; we are particularly delighted to welcome cycling enthusiasts from all over the world. Indeed, the gîte holds the ‘Accueil Vélo’ accreditation. It has been designed with cycling and walking enthusiasts in mind. Nature, walking, history and cultural discoveries are all on the agenda!

Walking enthusiasts will be in their element: Bed & Biking is surrounded by fields, country lanes and coastal paths, allowing you to explore the iconic landscapes of the Normandy coast.

Nearby, set off to explore the D-Day beaches, memorials and historic sites, as well as the vast beaches stretching as far as the eye can see and the landscapes of Calvados. After a day of exploring, return to the tranquillity of your eco-lodge and simply enjoy the garden, far from the hustle and bustle.

Committed accommodation: Bed & Biking has been designed with sustainability in mind, using durable materials in its construction and featuring a plant-based water treatment system.

We aim to offer comfortable and welcoming accommodation, whilst respecting the surrounding environment as much as possible. Bed & Biking holds the ‘Accueil Vélo’ and ‘Meublé de Tourisme’ 3-star certifications.

Parking is free on the street in front of the property. The gîte shares a driveway and gate with the grounds where our house is situated, but everyone’s privacy is respected.

Final details:

We have two lovely four-legged friends who are safely kept in their enclosure next to our home, and you won’t come into contact with them unless you’d like to meet them – I’d just like to mention their presence for the benefit of anyone with allergies.

You will be asked to provide proof of third-party liability insurance covering holiday lettings at the time of booking, as well as a deposit of 300 euros in cash on arrival.
